Museum of the school of the North Charente Museums / Arts and Insdustrial Heritage in Nanteuil-en-Vallée

For over 30 years, the Musée de l'école Nord Charente has been presenting the life of pupils in the first public, secular and compulsory schools, known as “Ferry schools”. Take a seat on wooden benches to write in violet ink with a feather, learn to count with an abacus, or make sewing projects and wooden objects, all of which were taught to children in 1907.
