A whole history is told at the heart of the former Lacroix paper mills, which became Joseph Bardou “le Nil” paper mills until 1972, the year they closed. Several rooms on two floors, between permanent and temporary exhibits, present the evolution of the paper industry. Set on the banks of the Charente river, the buildings form a bridge between the Rue de Bordeaux and the Ile de Saint-Cybard.
