To the west of Angoulême, the castle of Montbron was witness to the Hundred Years' War. Built in the 15th century, it has stood the test of time, boasting a polygonal tower and an incredible spiral staircase. Open to visitors free of charge in summer, two exhibition rooms can be discovered on the 1st floor, while 2 17th-century fireplaces are waiting to be admired. Come and meet the artists who take up residence at Château de Montbron in July and August.
