A visit to this most beautiful village in France, in the south of the Charente, is a must. It's a lovely place to visit, with its narrow flower-lined streets and beautiful views over the Dronne River. Its special feature is a troglodyte church carved into the chalk cliffs, invisible from the outside. Designated the largest underground church in Europe, it has a few surprises in store for you during your visit, with its 20-metre-high central vault.
