1. Swimming in the Dronne river at Aubeterre-sur-Dronne

Nestled in the south of the Charente, Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is classified among the " Most Beautiful Villages of France ". This charming village with its medieval character and picturesque streets is bordered by the Dronne river, a sub-tributary of the Dordogne.

Just a short walk from the lower part of the village, the Aubeterre-sur-Dronne leisure park offers an idyllic spot for swimming in the peaceful river and enjoying its lovely golden sand beach, equipped and supervised during the season. The stunning view of the village adds to the charm of the verdant banks. A children's playground and a beach volleyball court further enhance the site's appeal. Picnic tables are available in the shaded, grassy area.

For meals during the season, the campsite's bar, snack bar, and grill are open all day and offer friendly entertainment in the evenings, such as karaoke and concerts. A canoe and kayak rental center is located just upstream for leisurely trips on the water.

2. The lake at Prés de Peyras in Roumazières-Loubert

3. The lakes of Haute-Charente: Guerlie Beach in Pressignac
